Bought Another foldable bicycle!

I just purchase another foldable bicycle and this time in IMM near Jurong East Interchange in Giant Super Market.

This bicycle is called Ready2Ride fold-able bicycle with bigger wheels then the last purchase of the fake "A-bike".

I tested it immediately after I reach home by Taxi and yes the bicycle folded and fit neatly in the boot.

I have to admit it's flaws first, the bicycle does not fold elegantly causing it frustrating to new user like me to fold it quickly. Maybe it will need more practice but the size of it may ensure that it will not see it on any MRT or Bus during peak hours.

The plus points are plenty.

  1. The ride is smooth enough for novice cyclist like me
  2. It took the full weight of mine...which is nearly 85kg (It's the truth!! Just weighted!)
  3. Pretty standard gears changing allow me to go uphill although with some effort.
  4. Low center bar makes it easier for me to alight (Females wearing long skirts rejoice)
The real test is when I cycled to nearby shopping center (West Mall) from my house to visit a friend. During the whole journey, I encountered 2 chain drops which force me to stop and fix it...dirtying my hands. The seats was not fasten strong enough and it dipped after dropping down a curb, fixed in another round of stoppage.

The usual pain on the ass comes together with most bicycle but this is much better then the fake "A-bike" that had smaller wheels.
Overall, I give it 3.5 Stars over 5 since it served my purpose of cycling to nearby shops and foldable if I need to transport via cabs or MRT/Buses during off-peak hours.

There is another bicycle that I saw in the bicycle shop today that looks like a 'HARLEY" with lower incline back and huge wheels!! That may be my next target...err am I becoming obsessed with buying bicycles? No, because I firmly believe bicycle will be the future of transportation.

Just got a foldable bicycle!! For cheap SGD$180 :)

I know this is an imitation copy of A-Bike and named A-Bicycle but I wanted to try it out to see if it really works.

And yes it work just like what the guy in the bicycle shop told me it will...yet I feel this is a poor quality version with many limitation. Firstly, there is a warning sticker indicating that this bike is not suitable for anyone above 85kg. I am more then 85kg and the shop owner still sells it to me...I guess I need to slim down first before riding!!

Then there is a small maintenance requirement, to put some oil on the aluminum support in order to make the sliding more easier and faster. This oil did feels very dirty when trying to unfold it afterwards...but maybe it's because I am not very familiar with it hence touching the oily part more often then I want.

The handling of the A-Bicycle is slightly tricky for me as I had not ride a bicycle in years! I will practice more later when I have time to do it.

The idea of using a foldable bicycle is to bring this bicycle along with me and cycle if possible and able to ride public transport like MRT or buses in Singapore with my bicycle folded.

This bicycle did provide a bag and a cheap-o air pump and some useless tools but this may just be a testing phase for now to be able to cycle to work or to friend's house.

New Creative Ear Phones (W-Creative EP230) for my PSP!

I just bought a relatively cheap Creative ear phones at VivoCity Challanger Superstore and it looks cool and the sound quality is way above the normal head phones of the same price range.

The last head phones got those retractable hair eater that kept on tugging on my hair every single second! I had to buy this new ear phones so that I won't go bald after some time :)

I say for SGD$9.00 is a great find at Challanger Superstore!
