My Planted Aquarium Tank!

I had recently did a upgrade to my fish tank by adding more plants and supplying the tank with Carbon Dioxide (CO2) via a CO2 tank bought from Clementi fish shop (LFS).

The small internal tank is actually a breeding tank for my newly acquired pregnant freshwater shrimp and it will give birth hopefully soon! It's exciting to see shrimp giving birth and this is a much bigger shrimp! (Almost like a prawn!)

You can see that green unfertilized eggs under it's belly now. They look greenish now :)

I have another aquarium that holds little "Soon Hock" and baby freshwater lobster, they are a fun to watch when I feed them with sea-monkey (Brine Shrimps) or feeder fishes.

That's all for today!! :)

Hi Simon,
Where did you get that tank (attached by suction on the side of your aquarium) for the shrimp. I am looking for one for my very small shrimps (3 of them)

Thanks

I bought it at Clementi LFS (Little Fish Shop) C328...

Clementi Blk 328...not at the polyart but further down there is another fish shop (closes at Sunday)...I think the shop name is something like "The florist Shop" or something..but they are full 100% fish shop.

It's a small internal breeding tank for fish or small babies to give birth or stay away from munching predators.

Great to know another proud shrimp owner!

What shrimp you bought?

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the quick reply. I think they are cherry shrimps (small orange colour). I bought 3 recently to help keep clean my aquarium mosses. But my fishes are quite curious and tried to nipped them.
One of the shrimp keeps jumping out of the tank and I am surprised its still alive after I came home (several hours).

Now they are kept in a separate small plastic tank. I will get the breeding tank as you suggested.

By the way, my youtube vids.

Hi John,

So sorry for the late reply hahaha many bigger fish with larger mouth will find the small cherry shrimps tasty!

But usually the cherry shrimps are able to hide in the green vegetation enough to avoid being eaten.

If you like cherry shrimps I can sell you some at 10 cents each...I got over flowing numbers of them and they eat algae & spirulina tablets very fast!
